LOVE2LEARN Upington Centres for Early Childhood Development (ECD) is a non-profit organisation operating in early childhood, poverty and education support by equipping teachers with the skills, knowledge and values necessary to ensure that children in poor communities around Upington receive quality care and education. Established in 2017, Love2Learn Upington is involved in 35 centers located in townships such as Rosedale, Pababello, Mountain View and Louisvale where it provides free training to the staff to empower them to implement educational programs for babies, toddlers and children needing after school care. Lacking infrastructure, the typical daycare center consists of a zinc building with cement floors without carpets and no tables and chairs to work on. The initiative provides training, equipment, basic infrastructure and food for the children.
