SEED

SEED aims to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment and food insecurity. With a focus on the Cape Flats, we equip 100 unemployed youth annually with permaculture design skills and knowledge. Graduates gain confidence and resilience while contributing to transforming Mitchell’s Plain in Cape Town through sustainable farming practices. SEED’s Rocklands Abundance Centre trains community members in cultivating food, promoting self-sufficiency and improving food security. Since 2019, we have graduated 543 youth, creating a “green army” actively engaging in growing food for communities and incubating green enterprises.
